Right mouse click on the File tab and choose Collapse the Ribbon or use keyboard shortcut by Holding Ctrl and press F1

Enter your custom list as a table and then go under Data tab and Data Tools section. Select “Data Validation”. In Allow selection choose “List”. Click on the selection “Source” and select your custom list table. Press “OK” if you are satisfied.
